I’d love to setup a meeting sometime soon. There’s been some (marginal) interest in this thing, it seems mostly through the Facebook Group, so I was curious if anyone is interested in trying to get together sometime?
My hope in kicking off this Cohort was (at the very least) to have a “book club”-like meeting, centered around discussing a book that’s relevant to emerging / Emergent / postmodern / post-whatever-else-you-can-think-of… A book that I’ve always wanted to discuss, but until now had no willing parties, is Brian McLaren’s “A Generous Orthodoxy“. I think the style of this book would lend itself really well to group discussion, and on top of that there’s A LOT that’s worth discussing.
What do you think? What days/times are good for people? Weeknight? Weekend?

I’d be interested… I think Greg would be too. Usually Sunday afternoons work well for us.
I would be interested. During the day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Fridays are best for me.
Laura and Brian-
Good to hear from you!
Brian-
I don’t think during the day in the week will work for most people… 9 to 5 jobs and all. Would a Sunday afternoon work for you, like Laura proposed? Or a weeknight?
Sundays are pretty bad for me. A weeknight is possible – Tuesdays through Fridays.
Curtis,
Monday is best for me, I’ll be in that area anyway. Wed. is out because of a budget meeting. Any other night would work too. However, Panera closes at 9:00pm and Starbucks is open until 11pm. I guess this is a night owl cohort
Any particular topic you had in mind yet?
Then again early mornings work for me too.
How about McLaren’s new one, “Everything must change” or am I jumping ahead?
